Press-On Brand Launch: Founder Story
Premium Press-Ons Enter the Market
Contact: rachel@beautyindependent.com ⚠️ Estimated — not confirmed
Hi Rachel,
Your September 2024 piece on IGL Nails — and January's feature on Digi — told me you've covered this category longer than almost anyone. That's exactly why I'm reaching out.
I'm Gin, founder of Piqki — a premium DTC press-on nail brand launching in May 2026. We built the PiqWheel: 32 nails across 12 size variations, designed to solve the fit problem that keeps most press-ons from lasting. We also engineered our own glue after testing dozens of formulations — most brands treat adhesive as an afterthought.
The timing feels right. You've written about this category growing up. We're the brand that's doing it.
Would you be open to a conversation about a founder profile? I'd share samples when we're ready.
Best,
Gin

A Brand for Your $1B Story
Launching Into the Moment
Contact: LinkedIn / BoF author page (confirmed)
Hi Faran,
Your November 2025 piece — "Why Press-On Nails Might Overtake the Gel Market" — made a strong case. $738M global revenue, $1B on the horizon, "manicure inflation" as the catalyst. You saw the trend clearly.
Piqki is the brand launching into that moment. We're a premium DTC press-on brand hitting the market in May 2026, with a proprietary sizing system and glue formulation built to actually solve fit — the problem that keeps this category from reaching its potential.
If you're tracking the next wave of brands in this space, I'd love to share what we're building. Samples available in March.
Best,
Gin

A Fit-First Press-On Brand
Contact: jailynntay@gmail.com ⚠️ Estimated — not confirmed / LinkedIn / Muck Rack
Hi Jailynn,
Your January 2026 Allure piece — "You'll Never Visit a Nail Salon Again After Trying These Press-On Nails" — was the last thing I read before starting Piqki. That told me someone was paying attention to what this category actually needs.
Here's what we saw: most press-on brands treat fit as a one-size-fits-most problem. You get 10-12 sizes, pick the closest match, and hope for the best. We've all had them pop off mid-day. That's not user error — it's product design failure.
Piqki ships 32 nails across 12 size variations per pack. We also engineered our own glue because nothing on the market held well enough. The result is a product that actually stays on for 2–3 weeks.
Launching May 2026. Happy to send samples for your review.
Best,
Gin

Launching in Sync With Your 2026 Trends
A Brand for Your Nail Trends List
Contact: marisapetrarca.com (contact form) — confirmed
Hi Marisa,
Your December 2025 piece, "Best 2026 Nail Trends, Per Celebrity Nail Artists," maps exactly where we're launching — short lengths, clean lines, everyday wearability. That's exactly where we're positioned.
Piqki launches in May 2026 with three lengths: Ultra Short, Classic Short, and Medium. We designed for the woman who wants nails that look good and don't require a salon appointment. No long shapes, no special occasion-only wear.
We're launching in sync with the trends you already identified. Would love to send samples for consideration.
Best,
Gin

Premium Press-Ons to Try
Contact: Byrdie author page / Muck Rack — confirmed
Hi Ali,
Your Byrdie Awards 2024 review of press-on nails caught my eye — you called out what works and what doesn't. That's the standard we're aiming for.
Piqki is a new premium press-on brand launching in May. $28–30 per set, proprietary sizing system, glue that actually holds. We're targeting the gap between drugstore disappointments and custom-priced options.
No big ask today. Would you like a set to try? Happy to send samples 6–8 weeks before launch.
Best,
Gin
