Sizing & Fit

How do I find my correct nail size?
Measure across the widest part of your natural nail bed — not the tip. Use a ruler or tape measure. Compare that width to the PiqWheel sizing guide included with your kit. Each nail on the wheel is labeled with its size, so you can find your match at a glance.
What if I'm between sizes?
Go smaller. A nail that's slightly snug covers better and lifts less than one that's too big. If you're between sizes, the smaller option is the safer bet.
Do Piqki nails work on wide nail beds?
Piqki sizes are designed to accommodate a range of nail bed widths. If you have wider nails, you may find that Medium width works best for you. The guide on the wheel shows exact measurements — size to match your widest nail.
Can I wear Piqki if I have short nail beds?
Yes. Piqki nails come in three lengths: Ultra Short, Classic Short, and Medium. Short nail beds work well with all three — the nails are designed to look natural, not theatrical, so they blend seamlessly with your natural nail length.
What's the difference between nail length and nail width?
Length is how long the nail is from base to tip. Width is how wide it is across your nail bed. Piqki offers three length options (Ultra Short, Classic Short, Medium) and a range of widths to fit different nail bed sizes. Both matter for fit — width affects how well it covers your nail, length affects the look.

Application

What's the best way to apply Piqki nails for maximum hold?
Three things: clean nails, no oils, correct sizing. Here's the process:
  1. Prime — Clean your nails with the included wipe or rubbing alcohol. Remove all oils. Lightly buff the surface.
  2. Fit — Find your size on the PiqWheel. Apply at a 45-degree angle, starting from the base.
  3. Set — Press from the base toward the tip, then along both edges. Hold firm for 15 seconds.
Skip the hand lotion before applying. Don't touch your nails with oily fingers after prep.
How long should I press down on each nail?
Hold each nail for 15 seconds. That's long enough for the adhesive to bond properly. Press along the entire surface — base, edges, and tip — to create a complete seal.
What happens if I get air bubbles under the nail?
Air bubbles happen when the adhesive doesn't spread evenly. If you see one, lift the nail gently and reapply. Make sure you're pressing from the base toward the tip — that pushes air out rather than trapping it in.
Can I use your adhesive with other press-on nails?
The adhesive in your PiqWheel kit is formulated for Piqki nails specifically. It may work with other press-ons, but we haven't tested it, so we can't guarantee the hold. Use what we provide for the best results.
Do I need to buff my natural nails before applying?
Lightly, yes. The included buffer or a fine-grit nail file creates a slightly rough surface that helps the adhesive bond. Don't overdo it — you just need a light pass, not deep reshaping.

Wear & Durability

How long do Piqki press-ons last?
2-3 weeks with proper application and care.
Can I shower, swim, or exercise with Piqki nails on?
Yes. Piqki nails are water-resistant and hold up to regular showering, swimming, and gym activity. That said, prolonged water exposure (like soaking in a hot tub) can weaken the adhesive over time. Pat your nails dry after water exposure — don't rub.
Why do my nails lift early? What did I do wrong?
Early lifting is almost always one of three things:
  1. Oils on the nail — Did you skip the prep step? Oils from your skin or lotion create a barrier that prevents the adhesive from sticking.
  2. Wrong size — A nail that's too big lifts at the edges. Go smaller next time.
  3. Touching the adhesive — If you touch the adhesive side before applying, the oils from your fingers compromise the bond.
Follow the Prime step exactly. That's the most common fix.
What if a nail breaks or falls off mid-wear?
Each PiqWheel includes two complete sets — so if you lose a nail mid-week, you have a backup. Match the size, prep your natural nail, and reapply. The adhesive still works for touch-ups.
Can I reuse a nail if it falls off but the adhesive is still intact?
Yes. If the adhesive on the back of the nail is still sticky and the nail itself isn't damaged, you can reapply it. Clean off any debris, let it dry if needed, and reattach using the same application steps.

Removal

How do I remove Piqki nails safely?
Soak your fingertips in warm, soapy water for 10–15 minutes. The nails will loosen on their own. If they don't release easily, soak longer. Cuticle oil applied around the edges accelerates the process. Do not peel from the base — that's what causes damage.
Can I use acetone or nail polish remover to take them off?
You don't need it. Warm soapy water or cuticle oil does the job. If you do use acetone, it won't damage the Piqki nails (they're reusable), but it can dry out your natural nails. Stick with water and oil — it's gentler.
How many times can I reuse Piqki nails?
Depends on how well you take care of them. Typically 1-2 reuses with proper removal and storage.
Will removing press-on nails damage my natural nails?
No — when done correctly. Removal should never involve force. Peeling or pulling is what causes damage. Soak in warm water until they release on their own, or use cuticle oil around the edges. Your natural nails will be fine.
What should I do with my nails after removing them?
Gently remove any adhesive residue from the back of each nail. Allow them to dry fully, then store them back on the PiqWheel in their correct slots. Proper storage keeps them in good condition for reuse.

Product & Materials

What's in the PiqWheel? How many nails come in a set?
Each PiqWheel contains 32 nails: two complete sets of 16, in a range of sizes. One wheel gives you two full manicures. The nails are arranged by size on the wheel so you can find your match quickly — no sorting, no rummaging.
What are Piqki nails made of?
Soft gel.
Are Piqki nails vegan and cruelty-free?
Need to confirm with manufacturer (Wendy at XX Beauty) — customer question, needs clear answer.
Are Piqki nails safe for sensitive skin?
Our adhesive is formulated without the common irritants found in professional-grade nail glues. If you have known adhesive sensitivities, adhesive tabs are available as an alternative application method. If you experience any reaction, remove immediately per the removal instructions above.
What lengths are available?
Piqki nails come in three lengths: Ultra Short, Classic Short, and Medium. We don't offer a long option — these are designed to look natural, not theatrical. Short-to-medium is our specialty.
